Outside the U.S., Visa’s Asia Pacific (AP) region remains the second strongest of the four international regions as purchase dollar volume (PDV) is up 15% year-on-year (YOY) and purchase transactions rose 16% YOY in the first quarter (1Q/16).  Visa also posted double-digit YOY growth in accounts (GAC) and cards-in-force (CIF). Visa’s AP Gross Dollar Volume (GDV), currency adjusted (FX), increased in 1Q/16 to a YOY gain of 10.1%, compared to a revised 7.8% in the prior quarter and a revised 8.5% in the year ago quarter.
